When abusers' victims ask therapists about this kind of frustration given that narcissistic psychological and emotional abusers, specifically, are almost never held accountable for their multiple crimes in our society, one of my very favorite experts answer was:

"I understand, empathize, and sympathize; but you know what? Their karma is BUILT-IN!"
