This is such an incredibly beautiful storytelling, my friend Jax Hudur! You have here a sample of the hot-headed part of the tormented souls. The criminal part of psychopaths is characterized by their extreme callousness, cold-heartedness, and penchants for predation.
According to experts, those dysregulated individuals are completely disconnected from their conscience; consequently, remorseless for a reason which is simple yet having remained unknown and unsuspected until very lately:
Their brains process punishment in a very different way as stated in research published in The Lancet psychiatry journal. The researchers found out through the fMRI that the processing was impaired; hence, the capacity to be affected in decision-making and behavior by punishment.
They found it was linked to interneuronal communication pattern abnormalities. The result? They are immune to punishment because their brains don’t process the reality of it in a normal way. And there is no evidence they were born the way they are.
Since the brain is a remarkably plastic instrument, chances are high they are their environment’s creation; which I love to assume because I choose to believe we were all granted the same ‘character’ gifts at the moment of our conception that were merely altered by our ‘caregivers’.
More to the point, when they become monsters in adulthood, it is probably too late for them to be saved. They’d have already lost their battle — at least until the neuroplasticity science could find more evidence to the contrary.
That is, the most effective solution would be to imprison them for the rest of their life, and preferably in special jails because ‘normal’ criminals don’t deserve to die ‘accidentally’, I suppose.
Interestingly, there is a second group of psychopaths who do not display antisocial traits. To me, they are far more dangerous than the former one above, no matter how counterintuitive this statement may sound.
Unlike the first impulsive group — referred to in some literature as sociopaths, it seems to me those psychopaths some experts may call malignant narcissists are more dangerous because they are exceedingly smart (IQ), calculative, and will never risk getting caught by the law.
Their abuse is exclusively psychological and of the most disturbing level given how subtle it is.
They are likely to be found in executive organizations' positions, politics, and any context guaranteeing formal authority, where they can execute their self-centered and power-driven sadistic agenda at all costs.
‘Predatory aggressives’ know human nature perhaps better than anyone. Most have made a study of it. They know every human vulnerability, shortcoming, yearning, need, etc. And they know how to mimic just about everything that is human, from emotion to empathy. But it’s all part of the unrelenting con game of taking advantage of those perceived to be at heart an inferior species. — Dr. George Simon.
Last but not least, this is another reason why I care so much about parenting, which I consider as the source of all the servant leaders, the imbalanced inherently good people, the bad, and the evil ones.
In those moments, I wish I could have some formal authority to create a bill of law to psychologically check every single adult who is willing to have a baby — be it by birth or adoption — and allow or deny them access to parenthood depending on their results.
The prohibition text would be something like, “You need to first work on your twisted subconscious program” for intrinsically good folks, and “you can go and f*ck yourself” for anyone belonging to the C.R.A.V.E.D group.
***C.R.A.V.E.D: an acronym invented by one of my very favorite, most brilliant and generous therapists going by the name of Dr. Ramani:
- C: Conflict,
- R: Rigid,
- A: Antagonistic,
- V: Victim/Vindictive,
- E: Entitled,
- D: Dysregulated.
