Until the bossy and Cover-up culture play its role and you're not anymore! I'm talking from a place of experience here :)

You already know I was suffering from perfectionism syndrome almost my whole life up to 2 years and a half ago! Hence, it comes with no suprise I was a workaholic and my performances were always exceeding the employers' expectations. I was even granted a "best employee" nomination once.

It didn't prevent my employer from exploiting the opportunity of a general social plan to fire me, given I was "not manageable" by my narcissistic "boss" (I hate this word btw). I was fired while I had the best rating of a 25-member-team. Pathetic, indeed...

And let me tell you a secret: I would prefer literally struggling with feeding myself to accepting a CEO position in a bossy organization where what they do is anything but principled and giving back to the world; rather self-centered and focused on multiplying profit...

"When the culture of an organization mandates that it is more important to protect the reputation of a system and those in power than it is to protect the basic human dignity of individuals or communities, you can be certain that shame is systemic, money drives ethics, and accountability is dead." ~ Brené Brown

Here is what I keep in my heart from my corporate career, though:
