Undoubtedly, that makes two of us… I’m shocked by the ugly truth: if this pandemic and millions of people losing their jobs and struggling to support their family didn’t succeed in triggering some pondering like addressing the “consumerism” issue and most specifically luxury industry danger, then what exactly would have the power to?!!! Why would it mean anything to own a luxurious house or car or Airpods Max while the main functions are fulfilled with an average kind, given that roughly 734 million people remain in extreme poverty (2016)?
Call it common sense, principles, conscience, however you want to describe your measure of right and wrong. Fundamentally, it would tell you how unfair and superficial it is. I know of a global project involving only volunteers called “Creative Society”. I spent 4 hours and a half listening to their online conference on a Sunday while I was supposed to cook for the week. They will welcome with open arms anyone who is willing to walk the talk.
