That’s such a brilliant observation my wise friend! The unhealthy ego’s denial mechanism is so strong especially when we have been abused or loved so inconsistently by our caregivers; thus creating rigid patterns to survive and adapt to our unsafe environment! So many codependent people stay for decades in an abusive partnership (NPD, BPD, Psychopaths, etc) simply because they don’t know better… It’s making my heart bleed when seeing those mechanisms which are very frequent given the number of Cluster B disordered individuals is too high; much higher than I could have ever imagined! I believe the education on the Cluster B classification needs to be included in the official system from the very first classes! It’s a must to protect the kind souls sanity…
