Nothing can be farther from the truth! Self-centered individuals including narcissists will never know the meaning of the exquisite self-love, sadly enough. They’re too insecure deep inside. Their emotional world is shallow. Thus, they created a grandiose false self and believed the narrative of how special they are. They’re also delusional and believe loving themselves even though they have moments of lucidity making them see their ugly truth clearly. Running away from those moments is what they do the best, being unable of self-retrospection — at least for most of them. Their unability of self-love is precisely why they need to manipulate and abuse others so that they may get the narcissistic supply that nurtures their fragile ego, whether it is admiration or hard feelings. Their substitute for self-love is control. That’s why they perceive life as a game they need to win at all expenses. I need to admit that, despite all the horrible things they do and all the traumas they cause, I pity them. Their karma is built-in.
