Not always accurate, my dear friend, I'm afraid! I have been a giver my whole existence! The difference between the former giver and the current one is simple, yet so hard to reach:

Building healthy and strong boundaries along with progressively unbecoming the filter and moving from my previous insecure fearful-avoidant attachment style to the secure one.

When we learn self-consideration, self-love and, in my particular case, that people are not supposed to mind-read us and that trust is not a gift but should rather be deserved, we may become a free and conscious giver who has nothing to prove through giving.

This giver has the power to choose when to invest one's time and energy: 1. in random meetings with strangers with the hope to brighten their day and maybe... just maybe inspire some change, 2. in noble endeavors whether involving fellow humans or other living organisms, 3. in earned healthy relationships exclusively!
