Indeed, I’d say it’s directly correlated to lack of self-respect and self-love! People tend to confuse the dopamine attachment effect with genuine love in relation to romantic relationships. When it comes to relationships in general, the insecure attachment styles play a big role in jeopardizing building trust!

When we’re insecure, we’re not even capable of active listening and simply being for the other person. We also have no clue about the different deposits we need to make in order to elevate the trust reserve! And even when the other party is doing it, we tend not to pay attention being absorbed by our narratives and distorted interpretations that make it easier for us to bear with our suffering!
