I’m in love with your humility! I will only add one small detail: the reason why I so hate the positive affirmations and find encouraging them cruel is that they’re numbing the limiting beliefs and giving the person the illusion of growing! According to my humble knowledge, whenever we have enough time, we can meditate and access our conscious mind to take the right decision or make the most effective choice (since we’re shutting down our anxious mind--aka the subconscious program). But, we all know shit happens and we sometimes need to make a choice instantly! Guess who will be doing it? You guessed right! The mind operating at 40 million bits per second!

For the quick story, there was a tourist who once visited an asian country. The locals have a ritual during which they drink venom. The tourist wanted to try. They told him he was not ready. He was stubborn. He believed with his conscious mind he would survive and it was so real. He drank the venom. A few minutes later, he died. What was the problem? When he was a kid, his parents told him venom would kill him instantly. That was the algorithm in his subconscious mind, which was triggered by the unconscious fear.

Moral of the story: whenever there is a phase shift between the conscious and subconscious minds, the latter will ALWAYS win… That’s why the only way to transform is to destroy the current program and write it again in alignment with the principles!

Writing about things in the nexus of stoic philosophy, psychology, neuroplasticity, and epigenetics. Common denominator? The subconscious program!
