I can't emphasize enough how much those gems of words resonate! I came to Brazil for the "Greater Good". I have some non-profit dream ideas in the Mid/Long-term and I thought that volunteering could be the first step. I spent a fortune from my savings. I brought my beloved furry kid with me and my heart was breaking every time she was freaking out in transportation means. It has been extremely challenging from day 1. Eventually, it all made perfect sense! I needed to be witness to all the crap going on in the volunteering world. I needed to see by myself that those troubled souls (narcissists and co.) are in every corner and that they will never hesitate to exploit any circumstance. Sadly enough, being a host nurtures their delusional narrative and make them feel like 'masters'. The Universe message is crystal clear, and I'm super grateful for it no matter how harsh the experience has been!
